Legacy Gifts

Bequests, Trusts, and More
You can defer your giving through a carefully considered strategy that may involve bequests, trusts, charitable gift annuities and other types of planned giving. Learn more contact the Development Office at 718-624-3618 ext. 33
Gift planning is a tremendous opportunity to meet your charitable goals at a level you never thought possible—and at the same time, provide a financially secure future for you and your family.
Working with our gift planning experts, you can choose to give an outright gift or defer your giving through a bequest. You can even take advantage of a charitable gift annuity or another life-income gift that enables you to establish a legacy now and still provides you with an income during your lifetime.
To learn about the many options available to you, contact the Development Office at 718-624-3618 ext. 33.

Gifts of Securities

Appreciated securities are an attractive gift because they offer the donor an income tax deduction for the charitable gift and the avoidance of the capital gains tax that would be realized when the securities are sold. Gifts of securities are possible by placing the securities with a broker, bank, or agent to be held for the school. Please notify the Development Office (718) 624-3618 ext. 33 regarding the gift intention, so that the securities can be transferred to the school.

Matching Gifts

Some companies have a policy of matching current and/or retired employees charitable gifts to double (or more than double) the contribution. These programs are administered through each firm’s personnel office.
All gifts to St. Joseph High School are tax-deductible according to law. Donors should contact personal tax advisors regarding particular situations.
For information, please call the Development Office at (718) 624-3618 ext. 33.
